Wataru Myosyu

Wataru Myosyu creates ceramic vessels that stand at the threshold of sculpture. His hanaire flower vases and small chawan carry the weathered quiet of excavated relics — seed-like and urn-like silhouettes, coarse sand-infused clay, and surfaces that evoke ancient geological strata.

Titles such as "Tada" (just as it is) and "Bao" (to cradle) reveal his approach: forms stripped of artifice, holding empty space with a quiet inner tension. A single branch, or nothing at all, completes each piece.
