Preamble & Merchant of Record
These Terms apply to all services provided by wanova (operated by SATOYAMA Marketing office Ltd., "we").
Please note that for the shipment of physical goods to certain jurisdictions (e.g., EU, UK, Australia), our partner (e.g., Global-e) acts as the Merchant of Record. In such cases, payment processing and tax compliance are subject to the partner’s Terms of Sale, while we remain responsible for the product quality and intellectual property.
Dispute Resolution - Tiered Clause
For Consumers and Domestic Business: Disputes arising from these Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan, and the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
This does not affect your statutory rights under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
For International Business & High-Value Transactions (over JPY 5M): Any dispute arising out of or in connection with business transactions (e.g., Architectural Design, High-Value Art) shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the SIAC.
The seat of arbitration shall be Singapore. The language of arbitration shall be English.
Service Schedule
Schedule A: Architect & Design
Role as Design Consultant: The services provided are conceptual and aesthetic in nature. We are NOT the Architect of Record in your jurisdiction. You agree to engage a licensed local architect or engineer at your own expense to ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations. Intellectual Property: Copyrights in the designs remain with us. We grant you an exclusive license to use the designs solely for the specific project site identified in the contract.
Schedule B: Art & KOGEI, other Products
Duties & Taxes (DDP): For eligible destinations (US, EU, UK, etc.), import duties and taxes are included in the price (Delivered Duty Paid). No additional fees are due upon delivery.
Returns (Non-EU/UK): All sales are final unless the product is defective or damaged upon arrival.
Antique Compliance: Vintage items are sourced and sold in compliance with the Secondhand Articles Dealer Act of Japan. The license number is 301112520205 by TOKYO Metropolitan police office.
Schedule C: Japan Tea & Subscription
Auto-Renewal & Cancellation: Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel anytime via the "Cancel Subscription" button in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
Import Regulations: While we comply with export laws, you are responsible for ensuring that the importation of tea complies with personal import restrictions in your country (e.g., quantity limits).
Schedule D: Japane Experiences (Meet the SENSEI )
Waiver of Liability: Participation involves minor inherent risks (e.g., hot water in Tea Ceremony). Except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct, wanova is not liable for personal injury or property damage (e.g., ink stains).
Cancellation Policy: Free cancellation up to 14 days before the scheduled time. Cancellations made thereafter are non-refundable (100% fee).
