Fumiyo Sasaki

Fumiyo Sasaki is a Japanese ceramic artist known for serene silhouettes animated by a signature “dot” rhythm. Born in 1964 in Yufu, Oita, she graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and completed its MFA program in ceramics. Since then, she has presented her work through major craft exhibitions while developing vessels and tea utensils that sit effortlessly in contemporary life. Her soft silver-grey glazes carry delicate, particulate dots; as light shifts, the surface breathes—quietly transforming stillness into presence in the palm.
