画廊の中の茶室「具庵」

銀座・一穂堂ギャラリーの地下に、茶室「具庵」。百年前の建具がよみがえり、現代のアートとともに、ひとつの静かな空間が表情を変えていきます。

東京・銀座、一穂堂ギャラリーの地下に、街の喧噪を忘れるための茶室「GU-AN」があります。
椿建築デザイン研究所の設計により、百年の時を経てよみがえった貴重な建具を主役に、装飾を削ぎ落とした簡素な茶室として整えられました。
建具を開け閉てすることで、同じ空間が表情を変えます——親密な茶の席に、現代の竹工芸や陶のための画廊に、そして小さな舞台に。
上げ畳の床、格子の化粧天井、両脇の掛軸が室を縁取り、静かな待合が、ひと組ごとの出会いを迎えます。

画廊の地下に、茶室がひとつ

格子の化粧天井が低く下り、上げ畳の床と相まって、地下とは思えない静けさを生みます。両脇の掛軸が、簡素な室にひとすじの緊張を通します。

茶室と現代アートが、ひとつの場に

建具を開けば、茶室はそのまま画廊へとつながります。竹の造形や陶が同じ空気のなかに置かれ、伝統と現代が静かに響き合います。

床下に隠された、転換の仕掛け

上げ畳の床下には、外した板や道具をしまう収納が隠されています。建具と床が組み替わることで、茶室は画廊にも舞台にもなります。

待合に、出会いの前のひととき

簾と古色の家具に囲まれた待合。釜や茶碗が静かに置かれ、席入りの前の心を整えます。地階にいることを忘れる、ひとときの間です。
