東京・ビル最上階の和室

東京・目黒のビル最上階。八畳の広間を中心に設えた、隠れ家のサロンです。屋上の露地、職人が削り合わせた銘木、そして街の眺めが、静けさのなかで出会います。

東京・目黒のビル最上階を、八畳の広間を中心とした隠れ家のサロンへと全面改装しました。
玄関では、栃の一枚板を主板にした飾り棚に、施主が集めた神像が静かに据えられています。
広間の床柱には自然のしぼり丸太を、脇床の地板・天板には樹齢二千五百年の杉を用いました。
構造の梁は表に出さず、網代と化粧垂木による下がり天井へと納め、屋根裏には間接照明と空調を忍ばせています。
サロン、一枚板のカウンター、水屋、待合がゆるやかにつながり、屋上には街を望む露地が開けます。

八畳の広間、静かな主役

床柱には自然のしぼり丸太、脇床には樹齢二千五百年の杉。網代と化粧垂木の天井が梁を隠し、間接の灯りが木肌にやわらかく溜まります。

屋上の露地へ開く和室。楓と飛び石、竹垣の向こうに東京の街。

広間から屋上の露地へ

建具を開け放つと、八畳の広間はそのまま屋上の露地へと続きます。紅葉と飛石、蹲踞——都市の最上階に、季節をめぐる小さな庭が息づいています。

欄間に円・三角・四角を透かし彫りに。禅が宇宙を表したかたちを、杉の木目のなかへ職人が彫り込みました。光の角度で、その輪郭が静かに浮かびます。

一枚板のカウンターに夕の灯り

一枚板のカウンターに切子の盃。組子の向こうには施主の神像が灯にうかび、硝子のペンダントが手元をやわらかく照らします。一日の終わりに腰を下ろす、隠れ家の一席です。
