六本木のお茶室

東京・六本木の邸宅に設えた独立型の茶室。庭の石や苔、梅の老木を生かし、その土地の記憶を、茶のための静かな新しい空間へと受け継ぎました。

東京・六本木の邸宅に設えた、茶のための独立型の茶室です。三畳台目に水屋と腰掛けの土間を組み合わせました。

敷地を更地にせず、もとからそこにあったものを生かす。庭の石や苔、朽ちかけた梅の老木を再利用し、土地の記憶を新しい建築へと受け継いでいます。銘木は大工が一本ずつ手で削り合わせました。蹲踞が清めの結界を告げ、深い庇が庭を切り取り、夕暮れには行灯の灯が木のなかに静かに溜まります。

静かな清めの作法

席に入る前、客は蹲踞で手と口を清めます。心を鎮め、日常から茶の世界へと渡るための、ささやかな作法です。

灯りともる夕べの庵

日が暮れると、庭の灯りと石灯籠が茶室を闇から浮かび上がらせます。木の佇まいは木立のなかに静かに息づき、一日の終わりの静けさを抱きます。

楓ごしに庵をのぞむ

青々とした楓の葉ごしに、庵の入口と扁額がのぞきます。露地を歩むうちに茶室は少しずつ姿をあらわし、庭がその先の一席へと客の心を整えます。

庭を招き入れる一間

室内では、隅の窓が庭の緑を室へと招き入れ、行灯の灯が木肌をやわらかく照らします。内と庭が出会い、その境はゆるやかに溶けていきます。
