{"product_id":"yohen-shino-kumidashi-tea-cups-set-of-5-by-ken-matsuzaki","title":"Yohen Shino Tea Cups, Set of 5 KUMIDASHI -Japanese Tea Cups","description":"\u003cp\u003eShino, developed at the Mino kilns in the late sixteenth century, is often called Japan's first white-glazed ware — a thick feldspathic glaze that softens whatever iron pigment lies beneath it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA set of five small tea cups by Ken Matsuzaki in \u003ci\u003eyōhen\u003c\/i\u003e Shino, a Shino glaze fired hard in the wood kiln until the white breaks into tones of orange, rust, grey and charcoal.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNo two cups carry the same colour. On some the glaze has flashed almost entirely to a deep orange-brown; on others patches of grey-white remain, streaked with the marks of flame and ash.
